The Second Chance Program is a small pet rescue and adoption service dedicated to providing surrender and rehoming support for rats and other small companion animals.
If you find yourself in a situation where you need to rehome your small pet(s), the Second Chance Program is here to help! This program supports rats as well as other small animals. No matter the circumstance, this is a judgment-free space. Life happens, and we’re here to help where we can.
To keep things simple and approachable, we don’t require a lengthy application to surrender a pet. The surrender form is designed to give us a clear understanding of your pet’s needs, history, and care so we can support them appropriately and find the best possible home.
All incoming animals go through a structured intake process, including quarantine and health assessment, before being considered for adoption.
We’ve created this program because we believe in kindness, responsible care, and doing right by the animals, even when circumstances change.
